CCPA Elections are Nearing!

Dear CCPA members,

2015 has been a big year for the Association.  We have formally affiliated with ACPA, we are holding our first Spring Institute in a few years (this Saturday!), and we have a solid leadership team of student affairs professionals here in California.  I am pleased to share that we will be continuing that momentum by opening elections this May for two open positions: President-Elect and Director of Professional Development.

Election Timeline:

  • April 20, 2015 – Candidate application opens at http://myccpa.org
  • April 30, 2015 – Application period closed
  • May 1, 2015   – Voting opens (applications will be online for all CCPA and California ACPA members to see)
  • May 8, 2015   – Voting closes
  • May 11, 2015 – Elected candidates are contacted with the outcome.  Elected candidates will be required to accept their nomination by submitting a letter of support from their supervisor.
  • May 18, 2015 – Election outcome announced
  • June 19/20, 2015 – Leadership Retreat (tentative date)

If there are any questions regarding elections, please contact me directly at [email protected].  If you are interested in getting involved but perhaps not for one of the elected positions, I do have several appointed positions open that will largely work with institutions in their region to drive CCPA involvement!  Below are the position descriptions, per our bylaws:
