CCPA is committed to an Institute centering attendees’ experiences, focusing on skill and knowledge development, and advancing our collective work towards racial justice and decolonization. The CCPA Institute experience will provide an intentional space focused on wellness, with opportunities to connect, build, create and grow.

  1. Exhibit the knowledge, skills, awareness and behaviors that demonstrate the importance of inclusion in higher education organization and settings.
  2. Understand how inclusive practices inform the practice(s) of a Student Affairs educator.

  1. Identify practices that contribute to holistic success of those around them.

  1. Define the role of education in their practice as a Student Affairs professional.

Arrival and Location Information

Public Transportation

Please note that masks are required on Bay Area public transit. If you are arriving to campus by public transportation, we recommend you take BART to the Downtown Berkeley station, and then take the 79 bus to the Warring & Parker Street stop. From there, proceed to the Krutch Theater inside the Conference Center on the Clark Kerr campus for check-in.

Parking

If you are driving to the Clark Kerr campus, enter the Southwest Parking Lot off Warring Street, between Dwight Way and Derby Street. Use 2649 Warring St., Berkeley, CA 94720 in your navigation app for the quickest route. Parking is $2 per hour. Please stop at the ticket dispensing machine to issue payment via cash (exact change in $1 or $5 bills/$20 maximum) or credit card.

To operate a ticket machine:

Enter Space #, then press ENTERInsert Cash or Credit Card. For cash transactions, please use exact change, machine does not give change. For credit card transactions, insert card and press ADD $1 for the amount of time you want to park. Press ENTER to receive your ticket.

Ridesharing

If you are arriving by taxi, shuttle or other ride sharing service, enter at Horseshoe
Drive off of Warring Street. Use 2601 Warring Street, Berkeley, CA 94720 for the quickest route.

Institute Check-in
Check-in for the CCPA Institute begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Krutch Theater inside the Conference Center.

Lunch
Institute participants have the option to bring their own lunch or purchase lunch at the Clark Kerr Dining Commons. All conference attendees will take their lunch to the outdoor Dining Commons Plaza (weather permitting) to eat together. Please note that lunch is not included with institute registration.

Attire
Come as you are. Dress comfortably. Masks are strongly recommended, but not required, indoors — regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status. Outdoors, masks are optional for everyone.
