Commitment & Eligibility

All elected and appointed leaders must be current CCPA members.

Leadership roles require approximately 1–2 hours per week, with increased time commitments around major events.

Terms begins annually in January.
Elected Positions
The California College Personnel Association Team seeks candidates for the following elected positions:
President
Provides overall leadership for the Association by setting vision, guiding strategy, overseeing operations and finances, leading the Leadership Directorate, and representing CCPA in statewide and national partnerships.
President-Elect
Supports the President while preparing to assume the presidency by coordinating Association business, appointing committee members, leading meetings when needed, and supporting communication with the general membership.
Past President
Serves as an advisor and institutional resource to the Leadership Directorate, supports ongoing initiatives, contributes to historical documentation, and co-leads the annual CCPA Institute.
Director of Professional Development (2 year term)
Leads the planning and delivery of professional development opportunities across California by coordinating programs, chairing committees, and promoting learning opportunities aligned with member needs.
Director of Communications (2 year term)
Oversees all Association communications, including the website, social media, and e-newsletter, while supporting leadership messaging, maintaining records, and documenting Leadership Directorate meetings.
Appointed Positions
The California College Personnel Association Team seeks nominees to be appointed to the following positions:
Director of Membership (2 year term)
Strengthens member engagement by tracking membership data, expanding benefits, coordinating awards, managing outreach efforts, and cultivating a welcoming and connected CCPA community.
Director of Equity & Social Justice (2 year term)
Advances CCPA’s commitment to equity, racial justice, and decolonization by embedding these values into organizational practices, programs, and partnerships, while leading equity-focused initiatives.
Member-at-Large (1 year term)
Serves as a liaison to general membership and supports leadership initiatives related to engagement, communication, and professional development.
Graduate Representative (1 year term)
Represents graduate student voices within CCPA by participating in leadership meetings and communicating graduate students’ professional development needs to the Leadership Directorate.
Historian
Preserves the history and institutional memory of CCPA by documenting activities and accomplishments and supporting the annual chapter report.
